In 1907, he consecrated the historic mandir at Bochasan, marking the formal beginning of the Akshar–Purushottam tradition. This sacred milestone became the spiritual nucleus of what would later be known as BAPS, establishing a clear doctrinal and institutional identity.
Spread Akshar–Purushottam Upasana
With courage and clarity, he propagated the eternal doctrine of Akshar and Purushottam — affirming Bhagwan Swaminarayan as Purushottam and the Gunatit Guru as Akshar. Despite opposition, he remained steadfast in upholding this pure understanding of devotion and philosophy.
Strengthened Spiritual Institutions
Through disciplined leadership and tireless effort, he nurtured a dedicated fellowship of sadhus and devotees. He established mandirs, promoted scriptural education, and built a strong spiritual framework that continues to inspire moral living, unity, and seva worldwide.
Final Years & Legacy
Until 1951, Shastriji Maharaj guided devotees across Gujarat with compassion and clarity, strengthening faith and inspiring countless lives through his spiritual wisdom.
Before his earthly departure, he appointed Yogiji Maharaj as his successor, ensuring the continuity of the divine mission and the preservation of sacred teachings.
